On January 15 at a summary session of the Ministry of Justice Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the ministry carries out major work on formation and improvement of legislative and legal base. The Minister Larisa Glukhova made a keynote report on results of work in 2013. She informed that the ministry completely fulfilled the plan. She noted that every year the State Council passes more laws than it is planned.
Larisa Glukhova also informed that the ministry carries out monitoring of enforcement of legislative acts and work on restatement of USSR and RSFSR acts. Moreover, the ministry conducts analysis of the bills in order t reveal corruptogenic factors
Summing up, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the role of theMinistry of Justice is underestimated. He noted that legal education of citizens and rendering of free legal assistance, and maintenance of commissioners’ work are very important.
Rustam Minnikhanov also supported the idea of publishing legal acts on the Internet. He also called for helping municipalities in rendering legal assistance and organisation of training programmes.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked employees of the ministry for their work and wished good luck in fulfilling the set tasks.
